Any input is appreciated.Į: also, I'm sure that every one of the tactics I mentioned is used sometimes by some players. Where do you tend to lay down smoke? Directly on top of enemy units? In front of them? Somewhere else? How far away?Ĭan units in smoke fire on other units if they have line of sight? Can they fire on other units in the smoke? Outside of the smoke?Ĭan units outside smoke ever fire at a unit inside smoke, like with the fire position command (I know planes can drop ordinance, but what about ground units?)? If they're inside the smoke with the enemy units?Ĭan AA ever get LOS on air units from within smoke? These are just examples of my ignorance, so any insight you can give will be greatly appreciated. For instance, do you tend to use it for offense (disrupting LOS at the point of attack), or do you tend to use it for defense (disrupting LOS on your own units)? Both? Other? Do you use smoke to mask anything else, like blinding units on a flank or masking units on an approach to a target?Īlso, I'm not sure I fully understand how the smoke mechanics work, so I have a few questions on which I'd love some input. So basically I'd love to get some in-depth details from other Wargame-ers on how you use smoke arty in your matches. I've seen some general talk about the usefulness of smoke both here and in many of the videos I've watched, but I find that I'm not very effective at using it myself, and I think that this is because I don't fully understand exactly how it works. I'm looking to get as much info as possible on the best ways to use smoke arty. This is a fan-run community, we are not affiliated with the creators of the Wargame Series.
